About Brenna

Brenna Larson is an Americana singer/songwriter who combines warmth and wit to engage and entertain her audience. With rich vocals and solid finger-picking guitar skills, she mixes 70s folk, country, and blues classics with her own heartfelt and humorous originals. An authentic and engaging story-teller, Brenna takes you on a life-affirming journey that connects, stirs the emotions and makes you laugh along the way.

Reinvention is a recurring theme in Brenna’s songs and life story. She pursued a professional folksinging career for more than a decade from her teenage years in Atlanta, then later in Boston and New England. She then swapped music for a corporate career while raising two daughters, continuing to write and perform as time allowed. When her husband was stricken with Alzheimer’s, she shifted focus to caregiving and relaunched her musical career with her first solo album released in 2018.

Brenna’s album,  LIKE FINE WINE,  is a collection of her originals ranging from poignant stories of love and loss to the true confessions of a shop-a-holic and veteran procrastinator. Crowd favorites include "Buy More Shoes," "Gray Hair Blues," and "He Loved Whiskey." Studio musicians on her album include legendary folksinger, Claudia Schmidt, and renowned multi-instrumentalist, Jim Henry

Today, Brenna performs as a solo artist and with several ensembles in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, including TAPESTRY ROAD acoustic duo with partner, Scott Strauss, and THE HONEYBELLES ,a female duo with songwriter Ann Thompson.
